Once again, my friend...I could ditto the whole thing. This is exactly what my DS is doing. It is indeed very frustrating!! We're doing the same thing with self care with both the boys, too.
One thing I'm finding with him is it is imperative that I do with my DS is not take "I don't know" for an answer. I gently say "I think you do know. 'I don't know' doesn't work anymore. You're not in trouble. I just want to know why you did it." Sometimes it takes some coaxing to get him to tell me what he was thinking, and sometimes I get 'made up' answers--but that's ok with me right now. At least he's starting to think about it and talk about it...which is a first step anyway.
didn't you say that her constipation issues are causing the peeing in the pants because it is pushing on her bladder and she cant control it, or am I confused? Maybe once that is under control and healed you can really try to potty train her. Just MHO but if I were you, I wouldn't kill myself. i would let her heal in that department and then try again. What do the doctor's say?
