Email from the Governor
The governor emailed us today. WOW! I was NEVER Expecting THAT!!! I'm really sick, so I will only say right now that the governor still has this investigation open, and additionally has opened our case with the state's ombudsman. Didn't know the state has an ombudsman did ya now? We didn't either. I'll post tomorrow........

With all that has been happening with our referral of Joanna Mei and the subsequent paperwork, I have been 'lurking' out in Blogdom and not leaving comments as much as usual. I do want you to know that you and your fam come to my mind often and there's a lot of wishin' and hopin' and thinkin' and prayin' going on for your clan. Although I don't see Joanna Mei's syndactyly as a serious special need, I will most likely need some input down the pike especially as she grows and interacts with other kids.
Now that we have a face to connect with the whole process, I'm becoming frantic thinking about Joanna sitting in a Chinese orphanage for yet another 3 - 5 months, part of that time during one of the coldest winters on record in China. Fortunately, her orphanage is in an industrialized area, so it's likely there's power in the district - unless some fat cat is having a big ol' party on the other side of town and they divert a few more jiggawatts of electricty to his place .... yikes .... I'm rambling! The voices in my head are doin' a number on me.
Praying for strength and direction for you and your family ..... starting now. I'll be back around on the other side of the next round of paperwork.
